This conference was held on 2 and 3 July, 2008, at Keble College, Oxford -- Geoffrey Hill's alma mater and the college of which he is an Honorary Fellow.
On 2 July, Geoffrey Hill appeared in conversation with Rowan Williams, and on 3 July he gave a reading from his work. Kenneth Haynes, John Lyon, and Peter McDonald delivered keynote talks, and papers were presented by scholars from across Europe, North America and Asia.
